Come enjoy a garden that echoes of English borders and cottage gardens, softened by a love of regional ecology and a tolerance for the unruly. My space isn’t about control: it’s about curiosity, care, and coexistence.
I pay special attention to the characteristics of the microclimates on my plot, using that to inform my planting. Leaves and stems are left to compost where they fall, feeding the soil and the slow cycles beneath it. The unpredictability of living things is not a flaw in my mind, but a guiding principle in my garden. Seasonal shifts are celebrated, offering the pleasure of a morning harvest and the joy of watching a space evolve. There’s room for change, failure, reseeding, and surprise. It’s a space where ideas are tested, not imposed. The beauty of becoming is everywhere, and so is intentionality to steward the earth according to the constraints of the land.
I am a teacher by trade and my joy in education permeates my gardening. Children are welcome here not just to play, but to slow down and learn how to tend, observe, and appreciate a small patch of the world. I enjoy meeting other gardeners and learning from them and sharing what I’ve learned as well.
Whether you’re drawn to native plants, sustainable practices, garden design principles, or the quiet joy of seeing something grow, I hope my garden invites you to linger, observe, and wonder what might emerge next.
